This is a photo that I took while traveling through the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee near Gatlinburg. I applied a watercolor filter to the photo to give it a "painterly" effect when blown up large scale.
I was born and raised in Orange County, California, not too far from the Pacific Ocean. My childhood and teens took me through the turbulent and colorful decades of the fifties and sixties, graduating from High School in 1969. I always had a great passion for the ocean, creating art and building things, and learned a lot about carpentry from my father. My Career as an Industrial Designer began by completing a four year degree in Product and Transportation Design at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California.
