Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life. -- Congratulations on your recent sale of an amazing work!

Artist's Description

Inky was at one time a resident of the National Aquarium in New Zealand. One night he escaped the aquarium tank, and went down into a floor drainpipe which led to the ocean. He hasn't been seen since, but aquarium keepers know that he is free at last back in his ocean habitat, and are very happy for him, although they do miss him. This scene depicts Inky's joy of being free, and seeing the sun again through the rolling waves above his head!

Donald Presnell

I was born and raised in Orange County, California, not too far from the Pacific Ocean. My childhood and teens took me through the turbulent and colorful decades of the fifties and sixties, graduating from High School in 1969. My Career as an Industrial Designer began by completing a four year degree in Product and Transportation Design at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. (BSID, 1983) I later received an MBA in 1999 from the George Washington University, Washington DC) I have been married to a beautiful, talented and intelligent woman, Gretchen, for five decades, now. We are best...
