I now live in the Virginia Tidal Waters area, and a creek such as this one can be found almost anywhere along the Chesapeake Bay inlets. These creeks are full of salt water life, including oysters, crabs, mussels and yes, even barnacles, ha! This scene depicts an early morning on such a creek, with the crab boat across the way being loaded with pots.
I was born and raised in Orange County, California, not too far from the Pacific Ocean. My childhood and teens took me through the turbulent and colorful decades of the fifties and sixties, graduating from High School in 1969. I always had a great passion for the ocean, creating art and building things, and learned a lot about carpentry from my father. My Career as an Industrial Designer began by completing a four year degree in Product and Transportation Design at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California.
