This is the original concept sketch for the Honda ATV- Fourtrax 4x4 350cc, done in 1984, while working as a Transportation Designer for Honda R&D, America (HRA). The sketch was chosen, and we began clay modeling in the Japanese Honda R&D studio in Tokyo. The new model (first 4x4 ATV in the market) was introduced in 1985 at Motorcycle Dealerships. It later became the "Foreman" 4x4.
I was born and raised in Orange County, California, not too far from the Pacific Ocean. My childhood and teens took me through the turbulent and colorful decades of the fifties and sixties, graduating from High School in 1969. I always had a great passion for the ocean, creating art and building things, and learned a lot about carpentry from my father. My Career as an Industrial Designer began by completing a four year degree in Product and Transportation Design at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California.
