While working as an ATV Designer for Honda in the mid 1980's, I sketched many ATV concepts for presentation to management. This idea utilized General Motors' "Lean Machine" technology through pedals that controlled the "lean" (sort of like an aircraft). Honda had a partnership with GM over their lean machine, so the collaboration was feasible, although when the CPSC ruled in the mid eighties that htree-wheeled ATVs were dangerous, then this idea was scrapped, unfortunately. Too bad- it would have been a blast to test drive on El Mirage Dry Lake!!
I was born and raised in Orange County, California, not too far from the Pacific Ocean. My childhood and teens took me through the turbulent and colorful decades of the fifties and sixties, graduating from High School in 1969. I always had a great passion for the ocean, creating art and building things, and learned a lot about carpentry from my father. My Career as an Industrial Designer began by completing a four year degree in Product and Transportation Design at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California.
